World Down Syndrome Day Education Seminar
Wednesday, 22nd March 2006


Objective
The seminar aims to provide a platform for discussion of current issues in inclusion. DSA also aspires to be a professional organisation that provides such a platform for discussion of global issues pertaining to Down syndrome. In addition, it will be a value-add for regional delegates of the conference.
 
Outcome
  • Increased awareness among participants / delegates about Down syndrome
  • Increased awareness among workshop participants in water based activities
  • Increased awareness among workshop participants in movement activities.
Conceptual framework
The proposed seminar would be the post-WDSD event to discuss and consider current efforts in creating an inclusive community. To attain its objective, the Seminar would cover:

  • Effective strategies in creating an inclusive community
  • Exploration of strategies in creating an inclusive community in Singapore
