Down Syndrome Awareness Car

Nascar Racing currently has a contest running where a person can design and enter a car design that may will be used on a car. My son, Casey designed a car around Down Syndrome in honor of his ten year old daughter Niki. It was approved for the voting part two days ago and we are trying to include as many participants as possible so that the car can be in the top ten and bring an awareness to Down Syndrome. This is not about winning, it's about bringing Down Syndrome to the public.

If you have the ability to pass this along to many or on Facebook or Twitter, it would be appreciated. Between now and the end of March (yes, even on March 21st---------Down Syndrome Day) people can vote via their computer. At the end of March they will select the final ten designs. Then the voting for the winning car will begin for another ten days. We need people to vote each day and if Niki's Ride is in the top ten, to continue voting.

To vote go to: www.sponsafier.com

A car will come up and also the slogan Design It/Enter It. Click on "View the Gallery". At the top you will find a search box. Put in "Niki's Ride". Click on the car that comes up and a red Vote arrow will appear in the lower right hand corner. Simple click to vote. You may vote once a day from any one computer. Take time to see the 3-D view of the car, it's very worthwhile! If you have contacts that you can pass it along to, please do so. You can bookmark this site and come back to it each day or print this email as a reminder.

Thank you for any help you can offer.

Dear World Down Syndrome Day Secretariat - in Singapore,

Congratulations for Your Charity Walk Action on World Down Syndrome Day (or a Day before) - "Walk together towards on inclusive community...”

It is a great idea - we (Serbia would like to "borrow Your Idea" - and in same way to get attention on Down Syndrome,to increase understanding about it,to accept and include in our every-day life. We are teachers and teachers for special education needs in a small town (30 000 inhabitants ) in Zenta ( in Serbien,Europa).

In our school we have ca.600 pupils, of which approximately 100 are with special education needs - and from it 1- 2 with Down Syndrome.

We feel its important to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day - a first time in our area - and hopefully every year from now on...

We tried and managed some breakfast, or with some meal to support probable participants of our World Down Syndrome Day...
Also would be interesting to get a T-Shirt with very nice 21 Hearth - Logo.

In our country there are an immense number of poor children and adults (the average monthly income is 200 or 300 Euro...)

We try to ask "everywhere" for support for meal - and for T-Shirts...for World Down Syndrome Day participants. We would like to ask - if you have some (also old- and used ) T-Shirts with WDSD 21/3 - Logo - which You could perhaps donate for our participants, or to our poor children - with special education needs.

Thank You for everything in advance.

We try to be "one class - one school for everybody"- doesn't matter which handicap (disability) somebody has...

" We learn together, we play together, we work together,...WE WIN TOGETHER "...

We wish You a successful event, and lots of participants and All the Best

Yours sincerely,

Celebrating the magic

We recently welcomed a precious baby with Down Syndrome.  My daughter tells her story on her blog, which has rapidly circulated around the world.  Perhaps you would enjoy it.
