In Budapest it will be organized with big publicity and
in an inclusive way for children both with DS and without
DS, creating tremendous awareness. The event will take place
in one of the biggest cinema’s in Budapest with very
famous actors playing and singing for he children. The event
is organized by Karoly Kisarik, President of the Down Syndrome

Concurrently the Hungarian Society of People with Golden
Heart ( the earlier National Down Syndrome Association)
will organise a Down Syndrome Day on 20/3/2009 in Budapest
at the MEREK ( Developmental Center for people with physical
disability).
The participants will be adults with Down syndrome , their
parents, experts and supporters.
The lecture will be conducted easy to understand for both
parents and professionals
The topics presented are as follows:
1. How do and can persons with Down syndrome live in Hungary,
how is their life start?
2. What are the main mental challenges of adults with Down
syndrome and what kind of solutions exists?
3. What kind of benefits can they get?
4. What does it mean to be under guardianship?
Lunch
Two special dance groups with members with Down syndrome
and similar learning difficulties
(Bally dance and signing dance)
and
Common Folk Dances House with the objective to teach dance
to everyone present
We hope that the first Hungarian DS magazine (With Golden
Hearts) will be ready and our aim is to distribute it on
WDSD..
