4th World Down Syndrome Day, Jelenia Góra, Poland

The World Down Syndrome Day will be celebrated for the fourth time on 21st March 2009. It was established by ESDA in 2005. This will also be the third time for the Children with Down Syndrome's Families and Friends Association in Jelenia Góra to participate in the celebrations.

This year the main topic is : "Different but the same" and is to focus on the living in society of people with Down Syndrome and their natural, human needs.

The exhibition will be presented in MUFLON ( in the gallery of Municipal Community Center) in Sobieszów- Jelenia Góra from 25th February -15th March 2009.

Lower-Silesian Philharmonic Hall in Jelenia Góra

- theater programme for children - performance of the actors from MASKA Theater in Jelenia Góra

- IMPRESJA theater group from Zespól Szkól Specjalnych i Placówek Opiekunczych in Jelenia Góra

- auction for the Children with Down Syndrome's Families and Friends Association (held by Krzysztof Langer)

- Tadeusz Wozniak in concert with the accompaniment of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Lower Silesia in Jelenia Góra

The artistic part will be preceded by information about the World Down Syndrome Day in the world, as well as about the Association's work, goals and mission. Some materials on Down Syndrome and the Association work will be distributed during the concerts and auction.
