In years gone by, people with Down's syndrome were photographed as exhibits, where the viewer was not supposed to see the person, just the difference. Through the work of the DSA and Shifting Perspectives, the ever- expanding group of photographers can lay claim to a real transformation in the way that Down's syndrome is viewed through the medium of contemporary photography. The lives of people of all ages with Down's syndrome, their connection to the photographers and the changes throughout the course of their lives.

The Shifting Perspectives Exhibition continues to travel globally and will be featured in Colombia during from March through to November 2010.
