Each year, our ‘Lots Of Socks’ sock design is inspired by a member of our global community.

How to enter.
If you are under the age of 18 then your design must be submitted by a parent or guardian. Each entrant can submit more than 1 design. Competition closing date: 14th July 2026
2. Create your design
You can create your design on your computer, or print the template to design by hand. Once complete you need an image you can send to us.
3. Submit your design
Complete the competition entry form below and upload your design by 14 July 2026.

What happens next?
The winning design will be chosen by the Down Syndrome International Ambassadors.
The design will be used to create the official ‘Lots of Socks’ socks for World Down Syndrome Day 2027!
The winner will also receive a pack of socks in the design inspired by their submission.
The socks will go on sale in the ‘Lots Of Socks’ shop in November 2026.

WINNER 2026 – Sharan and Ujay
Sharan from the UK is mum to Ujay. Sharan said, “One of the things most important to me is making sure my son knows he can reach for the stars, just because he has Down syndrome doesn’t mean he can’t do things.”

WINNER 2025 – Ana Martínez González
Ana is from Spain. Ana shared her inspiration, saying, “My sock design is about emotions. Sometimes I like to paint to feel free, clear my mind, and feel better.”

WINNER 2024 – David Salguero
David is from Guatemala. David created a ‘gears’ design. He said, “Gears are necessary for machines to work. Each one fits perfectly with another, and together they are part of something bigger. Together, as a community, we are part of something much, much bigger. Together we increase the strength, like gears in an incredible machine.”

WINNER 2023 – Jessica Rotolo
Jessica is from Canada. She is an actress, self-advocate, public speaker, dancer, model and artist. She is a member of Down Syndrome Association of Toronto (DSAT) and Alumni of Humber College. She is a huge fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and loves going to watch them play.

WINNER 2022 – Nicky Valiramani
Nicky is from Bangkok. Nicky enjoys playing the piano and singing. She enjoys choir practice with her choir class. Nicky likes to express herself through music and considers it a form of therapy.

WINNER 2020/21 – Jijo Das
Jijo is from India. He is an artist, illustrator, drummer and photographer. You can find him at @artofmyoptimus on social media. Jijo loves to make art and animated movies! Jijo dreams of becoming a concept artist & illustrator in Disney-Pixar and meeting his hero Dwayne Johnson in Hollywood.
