World Down Syndrome Day 2010
As Advisor to the WDSD organising committee, I welcome the tremendous interest in 21/3 by people Worldwide.
The interest in WDS Day has been fantastic.
The interest in WDSD has been fantastic. We have seen participation at every level in almost every country and many people now focus on this day to raise awareness for people with Down syndrome.
Events planned range from local coffee groups to awareness-raising walkathons.
DSi is encouraged by the increase in awareness of this special day and by the initiatives of people who focus on this day to promote awareness of Down syndrome.
DDSi has introduced awards which will be announced on 21/3 (21st March) each year, acknowledging work done by individuals involved in research, awareness, and promotion of the interests of people with DS through advocacy and education.
Nominations should be made through your DSi
member organisation to the DSI organising committee before
1st March, 2010. Please contact us at dsint123@googlemail.com or visit our website at www.ds-int.org
