Hi. My name’s Magdalena Cosco Viola. I’m 21 years old.

I live in Montevideo, Uruguay, with my family. I have a brother and a sister.

I’m studying at the University of Beaux Arts. This is my second year and the major is Contemporary Dance. I’ve been taking contemporary dance classes since I was 7. This is a video we recorded last year.

Because of the COVID situation I had to learn how to take classes through Zoom and how to use the university online platform.

I’m the first person with Down Syndrome who is attending the University in Uruguay (formally). I’m very proud, but it is also very challenging. Some of the theoretic subjects are very difficult. I study with a tutor who helps me a lot. When I don’t understand an activity I ask the teachers through the platform.

I’m very lucky because my family and friends have always supported me. Thanks a lot to all of them.

I’m also a zumba instructor, love dancing 🙂

Now I have a boyfriend and I’m very very happy.
